So...this is totally not what I had planned but my plans sucked! When all else fails do a leopard print..it always looks good, works with all sorts of colors and is super easy. All you need is a dotting tool, a couple colors are you are good to go. The first thing you want to do is paint your nails with your base color, let it dry, dot some abstract blobs on your nail randomly with your middle leopard print color, then outline them with your darker color with your dotting tool in a messy fashion. In other words, be a little squiggly when you are doing the outlining, you don't want it to be a perfect line. Don't outline the whole shape, do a c-shape then add some more on the other side leaving two spaces. Does that make sense? You can see my c-shapes on my nails. Fill in where needed with some abstract shapes, wait a few minutes to top coat and you have your own leopard nail art! The great thing about leopard print is that it doesn't have to be perfect. The imperfections are what make it so cool!
The colors I used (LSU colors...totally did not mean to do that!) are Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow (base), Essie Play Date (leopard spots) and then Revlon Grape (outline of the spots).
What do you think?! I actually like these colors together. They are pretty cheery and great for any LSU fan!
Don't forget to check out everyone else! :)
